Sonic's $S airdrop occurs seasonally, and after the airdrop, only 25% can be claimed immediately, while the remaining 75% is distributed as fNFTs.
@SonicLabs is currently reducing immediate selling pressure on the price of the airdrop and creating market demand in this way.
In the case of fNFTs, they are designed to gradually reach their original value over a period of 270 days, but interestingly, if it exceeds 270 days, they will be burned, resulting in nothing.
In other words, the best option is to claim exactly at 270 days, and if you want to claim earlier, it is possible, but you will incur losses when doing so.
However, aside from this, there is a separate swap market for fNFTs, so if desired, fNFTs can also be sold in the market and converted to S tokens. The market logic often forms at a slightly higher price than the current claim, so swapping fNFTs in the market can sometimes be more profitable than claiming directly. Season 2 is also well underway, so using the Sonic ecosystem will accumulate points, allowing claims during Season 2.
